Lady Raiders and Villa Madonna were all tied up at Summit Hills

The Ryle Lady Raiders and Villa Madonna Blue Lighting have competed agaisnt each other several times this season at invitational tournaments and each time both teams were within a few shots of each other.  Today at Summit Hills Country Club the two teams played a match that ended in a total tie Ryle - 191 to Villa Madonna - 191.

The Lady Raiders played the front nine of Summit Hills, which was playing to a length of around 2600 yards and is always difficult, and each player individually overcame a difficult hole or two in order to fight back and force a match tie.

The Lady Raiders were led by match medalist Nadine Innes whom started her day with a birdie on the hazard lined par 5 first hole in route to shooting a 5 over par 41 for her third medalist honor of the season.  Kayley Hughes continued to play to her strenghts and managing her game around Summit Hills by finishing the round with a 46.  Birthday girl Morgan Clark added a round of 48 and both the varsity newcomers Savanna Innes and Morgan Adams battled their way around the course for scores of 56 in their first ever round at Summit Hills and facing the pressure of this high caliber match.

The Ryle Lady Raiders and Villa Madonna will face each other again later this season at Ft. Mitchell Country Club.

The Varsity team has a few days off with school starting and will next play on Monday at Kenton County against Dixie Heights in an after school match.
