The J.V. Lady Raiders played their first regular season match this afternoon and posted their first match victory of the season over Simon Kenton by a score of 224 to 242.  The J.V. Lady Raiders rallied on all their players to contribute to a solid team effort in order to defeat Simon Kenton.

The J.V. Lady Raiders were led by Lindsey Jackson whom shot her new career low round of 54 on the first nine of the Pioneer course at Kenton County.  Sydney Dunigan and Olivia Hinton each shot 56 on the day.  Cora Bradford and Chloe Ruark both shot 58.  Madison Kleckner shot a 62 to round out the scoring for the team.

Coach Thornton enjoyed the balanced team attack showed by the J.V. squad and also realized that this was just the beginning and believes that this team will just keep getting better and better.  Each individual playing today improved their score significantly from their previous round at the Mason County tournament and judged by what they have done during tryouts and at range practices there is no reason to believe the improvement will not continue with steady playing time this season.

The J.V. Lady Raiders will next compete Friday morning at 10 a.m. at World of Golf against the J.V. team from Cooper High School
