Lady Raider Score Well in Defeat of Holy Cross

Posted Monday, August 06, 2012 by Jeremy Thornton

The Lady Raiders Varsity team had six players all record very good scores in a solid defeat of Holy Cross today at Kenton County by a team score of 163 to 200.  The Lady Raiders were led by Nadine Innes whom recorded her second match medalist of the season shooting a 1 over par 36 on the front nine of the Pioneer course at Kenton County.  Senior Morgan Clark continued her excellent play this season by shooting a 3 over par 38.  Mollie Collins added her season low score of 44 while Kayley Hughes and Morgan Adams both played solid rounds of golf and shot rounds of 45.  Savanna Innes also played in the match and finished her round with a score of 51.

Both the team score of 163 and each individual players score were a very good first outing on the course that later this season will play host to our Regional Tournament in which a berth at the state tournament will be on the line.  By winning the match today the Lady Raiders moved to 2 wins against 0 loses in match play this season.

The Varsity Lady Raiders next match is scheduled for Thursday August 9th at Boone Links golf course against a very talented Mason County High School at 3:15 p.m.
