The Lady Raiders traveled out to Hickory Stick Golf Course on Thursday and even though they did not play their best they still posted a victory over the Lady Camels of Campbell County.  Nadine Innes earned her second match medalist of the season with a 5 over par 41 on the front nine.  The team totals were Lady Raiders 191 to Campbell County's 211.  Alex Bruce shot a 43 and Kayley Hughes shot 47 and provided the shot of the day by pitching in for birdie from around 50 yards out on the par 4 6th hole.  While the team total of 191 was higher than the Lady Raiders want to shoot on any given day each player rallied from a slow start to play better over the last 5 or 6 holes to make sure victory was achieved.  Next up for the Varsity team is a MAJOR tournament at Twin Oaks on Monday and all players have vowed to be as prepared as possible.

Today also feature the High School Match debut of two Development Squad players Morgan Adams and Madison Kleckner.  Both young ladies played hard and showed skils that would let people know that the Ryle Golf Program will continue to have bright days in the future.  Both Morgan and Madison were paired with a couple of seniors from Campbell County and both were able to outplay their opponents shot for shot around the course all day.  Morgan Adams hit many solid tee shots and approach chips while Madison Kleckner also hit her tee shots well and rolled in a 15 foot put for a 4 on the par 3 8th hole.  It was a great day for both young ladies and Coach Thornton could not be prouder of their effort and attitude.
